Youth from across Algoma celebrated World No Tobacco Day by gathering at City Hall in Sault Ste. Marie to support and celebrate the Smoke-Free Ontario Act. Click here for more info.

Youth in Sudbury created five radio announcements that were played daily on local radio station Big Daddy 103.9 and in local high schools during National Non-Smoking Week. Click here for more info.

Cemetery Ring Toss
YAA members in Hastings and Prince Edward County held a Cemetery Ring Toss game to educate the public on the effects of tobacco use. The cemetery consisted of tombstones with key messages and deadly facts about tobacco use. Click here for info on activities in Hastings and Prince Edward County.

Mighty Card Campaign
Kingston’s Take Charge Crew created this campaign to collect signatures by youth across Kingston to put some pressure on the Ontario government to sue tobacco companies for health-related costs due to smoking. Click here for more info.

Slapshot the Tobacco Industry 
Ottawa’s Expose Team invited local kids to enter a contest by telling them what they were doing to fight tobacco. First prize:  The chance to take part in a skills clinic with Ottawa 67's players and their assistant coach. Click here for more info.

Smoke Free Movie Night
Oshawa YAA members invited youth from all over Oshawa to come and see ‘Cinderella Man’, a movie that included lots of smoking scenes, to inform them about how Hollywood needs to kick the smoking habit. Click here for more info.

E-Race:  Run Against the Tobacco Industry 
Mississauga teens invited local residents to run, walk, wheel or jog through the trails of Mississauga Valley Community Centre to raise awareness about the tobacco industry. Click here for more info.
